HisStory Through the Old Testament

  • Holy Cross Orthodox Church 105 North Camp Meade Road Linthicum Heights, MD, 21090 (map)

The Old Testament can appear to be a mix of seemingly unrelated puzzle pieces until you put the stories together and see them as a whole — one over-arching picture of Christ. Not only is He in the Old Testament, He is the focus and fulfillment of the Old Testament.

"And beginning with Moses and all the prophets, he interpreted to them in all the scriptures the things concerning himself." (Luke 24:27)

During this interactive workshop, you will:

  • Memorize an overview of Old Testament history (using hand gestures!)
  • Become familiar with the peoples, places and themes of the Old Testament
  • Understand God's story of redemption and how we fit into His plan
  • See Christ and the Theotokos as revealed in the Old Testament

We encourage you to follow the "Reading for the Big Picture" reading plan as far as you can prior to the event.

Come and see how the pieces of the Old Testament make a beautiful mosaic of Christ the King!
