St. Philothea Project
For the last several years, the Sunday School has made boxes to donate to Operation Christmas Child. This year, we're supporting a ministry that provides Christmas boxes to Orthodox children in Romania, the St. Philothea Project. We’ll be making boxes for this project this year, hoping each child will help to pack his or her box personally. The boxes (standard size now from the post office) will be available for us to pack on our movie night October 27th. These are about the size of a cigar box, so small things are important!
Please bring these items in a bag for your child to pack at our event as if for him or her-self (newborn to 14 years old):
- Underwear and socks – small or medium size only
- Toothbrush and toothpaste
- Comb or brush for hair
- Soap
- Shampoo
- Small Icon
- One or two SMALL non-battery toys for appropriate age
- OTC Cold medicine for children
- Some candy
Anything else you’d like to put in the box to make it special from your child to a child of his or her age.
Dr. Pat will take the boxes and ship them to the people who are going to Romania to deliver them by hand!
