Parish Feast of
St. John the Baptist ROCOR
This year, the celebrations of the Parish Feast of St. John the Baptist Cathedral in Washington DC will take place on September 8th and 9th. We anticipate that Metropolitan Laurus, First-hierarch of ROCOR, will be the chief celebrant. The famous choir of Moscow’s Sretensky Monastery [Monastery of the Meeting of the Vladimir Icon of the Mother of God] will come for the festivities.
To mark the occasion of the unification of the Russian Orthodox Church, the Sretensky Monastery Choir will present a grand concert in the Library of Congress on On September 12th.
