Liturgical Music Workshop
As part of PSALM's commitment to the advancement of liturgical music in our parishes, we are pleased to announce the following workshop:
"Music of the Divine Liturgy: When, How and Why"

Course Description
To sing with understanding conveys greater meaning and immediacy to those gathered in worship. This interactive sacred music workshop will trace the origins, structure, and purpose of various liturgical music components from the Divine Liturgy. Participants will achieve not only a greater understanding of these units - why we sing them as we do - but of how these segments relate and come together to form an ongoing vital liturgical experience in the Orthodox Church. Each session will shed light on how to choose and sing music in a way that matches and fulfills its liturgical purpose, and this information will provide a means for understanding music from other services as well.
