Many hundreds of innocent people are suffering as casualties of the conflict between Israeli forces and Hamas, both in Gaza and in southern Israel. In place of the usual Thursday evening Vespers (6:30pm), the Paraklesis/Supplicatory service will be offered on their behalf.

The Greek Orthodox Cathedral of the Annunciation in downtown Baltimore is conducting its Annual Winter Bible Camp December 29-30. For two fun filled days, children ages 4-11 will enjoy activities including crafts, athletics, Orthodox life and music. Registration is $5.00 per child and includes lunch, all activities and a group photograph. Each day begins at 10 AM and ends at 1 PM. Register before December 18. ABC is making a documentary about the Armenian Orthodox Church, entitled 'Everyone Prays at Holy Etchmiadzin' available to its affiliates for broadcast during the month of December. The Baltimore affiliate (WMAR – Ch. 2) and the Northern VA affiliate has not yet put this on the schedule, and may not do so, or may put it into an obscure early-morning time slot when it will not get much attention.

On Thursday, December 4th at 7:30pm, Monica Burnett will give a presentation on her impressions of daily life in Palestine. Monica is an HC parishioner, Patristics instructor, and recent Holy Land pilgrim.

All are welcome to the second annual Agora Marketplace at St. John's College on December 6, from noon to 5 pm, in the Francis Scott Key Auditorium Lobby. All items are made by students, staff, and friends of the College. Lauren C. will be selling baked goods as a fundraiser for her OCF Real Break trip to Jerusalem this coming spring.
